Perry grew up in Hendersonville, North Carolina and has spent his entire legal career with a practice based in western North Carolina. Because of his trial skills, Perry’s clients have hired him to handle cases from Miami to Montreal and New York to Utah. Perry brings extensive trial experience to his clients’ cases. As of this writing, Perry has tried over 182 cases to a jury verdict.  Perry’s results include obtaining a substantial number of seven figure verdicts. The 182 jury trials Perry has handled are in addition to the hundreds of cases tried before a single judge or arbitration panel.The GOLDEN RULE drives Perry’s work and his valuing of an injured persons’ injuries.  Treat others as you would want to be treated. The firm has a client centered, result driven approach. Perry’s goal is not to attack the personal assets of the defendant but to make their insurance company who readily accepted premiums pay the full fair-trade value for what was unnaturally taken.Perry has always been active in the Bar and local communities. It began early in his career when he was the student body president of East Henderson High School, the President of the pre-law group at UNC Chapel Hill and the Student Body “Bar” President  at Wake Forest University School of Law. As one client described Perry, “He’s been a leader in virtually every organization he has ever been in. Perry brings this leadership skill to help his clients understand the process and to help juries understand how to appraise the harms in each case.”Perry moved with his family to Asheville in 1987 to practice law with the law firm of Van Winkle, Buck Wall, Starnes and Davis. The firm later became known as the Van Winkle Law Firm and for many years was the oldest and largest law firm west of Charlotte, North Carolina. While at the Van Winkle Law Firm, Perry Fisher became a full partner and was chosen by his colleagues to serve on the firm’s Executive Committee. Perry has received numerous accolades and honors including being selected as the Litigator of the Year at the firm for several consecutive years. One of Perry’s partners at one point referred to Perry as the firm’s “designated hitter” for all jury trials.Perry was elected by his peers to serve as President of the 500+ member 28th Judicial District Bar for 2001-2002. The 28th Judicial District Bar represents all of the attorneys in Buncombe County, North Carolina and is highly respected across the State.Perry has been recognized for many accomplishments in his service to his community and fellow attorneys. In 2005, Perry was recognized by his legal peers across the State and nation as having the highest legal ability and the highest ethical rating through the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating System. With this honor, Perry joined the approximate 10% of attorneys in the country to have received the highest AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. AV rated lawyers have been recognized by their peers for excellence in both legal ability and ethical practice.
