Amanda Clark

Amanda grew up in Upstate New York and has since fallen in love with the mountains of Western North Carolina (--especially when they are snowy!) While in New York, she was an undergrad at Syracuse University.

She also worked at the United States Department of Justice Northern District of New York with the civil attorneys in the financial litigation unit working on judicial foreclosures.

Additionally, she aided civil attorneys in the medical malpractice division and helped defend cases against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Making her way down south, Amanda worked at the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy in the summer of 2020 and helped make justice accessible for low-income families in Mecklenburg County.

She attended law school at the University of South Carolina where she was a member of the Student Animal Legal Defense Club and the Environmental Law Society.

She learned the intricacies of oral argument and courtroom etiquette in Trial Advocacy class and honed her policy writing skills in Insurance classes, preparing her to best represent Plaintiffs.

While in law school, she spent 2 ½ years as a Law Clerk at the Personal Injury firm Popowski & Shirley, P.A. in Columbia, SC. She worked on a variety of civil claims including nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, automobile negligence, and premises liability.

Amanda is now an attorney at Fisher Stark, P.A. continuing her passion for civil litigation and fiercely representing individuals against insurance companies.

In addition to taking on civil claims, she has been the leading force, along with a wonderful cadre of volunteers, in 2024 in providing a free FEMA assistance clinic offered by the firm to the community in the wake of hurricane Helene. These efforts helped more than 100 Western North Carolina residents obtain FEMA disaster assistance.

Amanda chose a career as an attorney to help individuals obtain equal justice in a system that often seems stacked against the individual. “Justice should not be clouded in technical jargon and complex hurdles” said Amanda.

Amanda’s clients are impressed by her skills, compassion and zealous representation. "I want to make sure that my clients feel heard and I assist them in receiving the outcome they deserve.” She is also a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice group.

When she’s not at the office, Amanda can be found at the Pilates gym, exploring Asheville with her partner Kevin, or relaxing at home with their dog and cats. She is an avid animal lover and lives a vegan lifestyle. During basketball season, she is rooting for the Syracuse Orangemen and hoping they’ve got a spot in March Madness.
